Under current owner, Mark Cuban, the team has become a regular contender for the playoffs. A talented roster that includes players such as Dirk Nowitzki and Josh Howard earned the franchise's first trip to the NBA finals in 2006, where they lost to the Miami Heat. The Dallas basketball team was formed by millionaire Donald Carter. Cuban has owned the Mavs since 2000. This is a major attraction between the months of October-April. |
